Month of Trip: March

We have a wonderful time with Bev, Martha and Margrette Phillips.  Later in the week we catch up with Barb & Frank Sarcinelli.  Sadly, Ty gets sick and barely could make it from one bathroom to the next.

  • Ty wakes up at 5:30am on the day we are leaving and announces that he’s so excited that he’s going to explode.

  • Best Bread Pudding ever - at Ohana at the Polynesian Resort

We had a great meal at Ohana at the Polynesian Resort.  They cook the meat on skewers over a wood fire and they have a great flavor.  Martha, ever observant, could figure out why her food had holes in it.  We finished the meal with the best Bread Pudding ever.

  • We start the vacation with breakfast together at the Summit Diner.  Its interesting how over the years the breakfasts together at the start of the trip seem to capture peoples memory.

  • We drove to the Philadelphia Airport so we could avoid any risk of flight delays out of the Scranton airport.

  • Sorcerer's Hat at Disney's Hollywood Studios

The huge sorcerer’s hat was an icon at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.  Its scheduled to be removed in 2015.

  • Kelsey really has a problem with seagulls.  Whenever we go to the boardwalk at the shore she feels like they are attacking her.  Well, they attacked her for real while we were in Disney World by pooping on her shirt.  She actually handled it better than expected.  Unfortunately, she was not able to remove the stain from the shirt

  • Look how Disney paints construction barriers to look like buildings

Disney is amazing. They even do construction with style.  Can you spot the construction in this picture?  Take a look at the building on the right side at the far end of the street.  That’s actually a construction barrier painted to look like a real building.  When I first pointed this out to the kids, they couldn’t spot the difference.

  • We got soaked

It rained and rained.  We went to EPCOT anyway because we were able to get reservations at Le Cellier which is a real treat.
